About AMBIEN

What is AMBIEN?

When taken as prescribed, AMBIEN can give you the good night's sleep your body demands without lingering drowsiness the next day.

AMBIEN is a short-term (7- to 10-day) prescription sleep aid for people who have difficulty falling asleep, have trouble remaining asleep, or awaken too early in the morning. AMBIEN helps restore your quality of sleep. It was introduced in Europe in 1988, and in the United States five years later. To date, more than 4 billion doses of AMBIEN have been prescribed worldwide.

Do not take it lightly if you have trouble sleeping. AMBIEN can give you the good night's sleep your body demands without lingering drowsiness the following day. Talk to your doctor about the benefits of AMBIEN (zolpidem tartrate).

  • AMBIEN helps you fall asleep and get the rest you need. AMBIEN has been shown to be effective in helping individuals fall asleep within 15 to 30 minutes. AMBIEN works very quickly. You should only take AMBIEN right before going to bed. Do not take AMBIEN unless you are able to get a full night's sleep before you must be active again.

  • AMBIEN helps you stay asleep. You know how frustrating it can be to wake during the night without being able to fall back asleep.

  • AMBIEN helps you avoid waking up too early, have a full night's sleep and increase total sleep time.

  • AMBIEN does not remain in your system. AMBIEN leaves your system fast so you are more likely to wake up the following morning feeling rested and refreshed, and not groggy.

  • AMBIEN has low incidence of side effects associated with short-term use.
